How do I register for the program?Registration is held from Now through October 15th. Register in-person by stopping at any Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County Community Center. You may register online by visiting pgparks.com, clicking on the Parks Direct logo, click on the Activites tab, and searching for the barcode number listed on the front of the flyer.

Does my child need to know how to skate?No, our USA Hockey certified coaches will work with beginner level skaters, as well as experienced skaters.

Are the coaches qualified?All our coaches are USA Hockey certified and are required to renew their certifications each year, which includes a background check.

What equipment is required for my child?TRPHO is able to provide loaner equipment to some team members. Equipment will be returned at the end of the season. Please contact Alex Briggs-Blake at StepUp4Children@gmail.com for more information.

How often do the teams practice?Typically, the teams practice 2-3 times per week. Practice time is reserved at Herbert Wells Ice Rink (HW) and Capital Clubhouse (CC). Thursdays............5:45 pm-6:45 pm (HW) Saturdays.............5:00 pm-6:00 pm (HW) Fridays...................8:30 pm-10:00 pm (CC)

Is there a game schedule?Typically, there are at least 8-10 games each season. The Tucker Road Ducks play in an Independent League.

How far do we travel for games?Usually, games are not outside the greater metro area (maximum 20 mile radius).
